We celebrated my youngests first birthday on Tuesday.  Here are a few pictures of his introduction to chocolate.  Do you think he liked it?

Feel the endorphins rushing through his system?

Where am I? part 4 The hunt is over!

The time has come!  I hope you have enjoyed the hunt. :-)

Another well known area of these old hallowed halls.  It's not a yard, but rather a "Lawn" these halls open up to.

Here's the library that you  mentioned Donna.  But, it's not in his very famous home.  It's in here instead.

The famous Rotunda.  Know where I am yet?????

Here's the very famous man who started this prestigious university!  It's not George Washington, but Houston wasn't too far off with his guess of famous men !

Now do you know????

Click here if you're still in the dark.

Congratulations Houston!!!  I am very impressed.  The chocolates are on the way to the Unsell home.  And Jen, honestly, you all certainly deserve it the most.  You really thought about this!

Stay tuned for another "Where am I" where we visit another  University!  Brush up on your Universities Jen!

Where am I? part 3

You guys are awesome!  Jen, you are cracking me up.  I love the way you are really thinking this thing through.  You know, I could just send you some chocolate.  All you have to do is ask.  LOL  You are going to laugh when you find out the answer.

Here are two more pictures, so keep guessing.  We do have a winner but I won't tell you who yet or whether they left the answer on my blog or emailed me (I've gotten a couple of private emails).  That way you need to use your own detective skills to figure it out and not just look at the answers others gave. :-D

Here's your hint based off of your comments.  It is old!  How's that for a hint. ;-)

Where am I? part 2

I'm going ahead and posting some more pictures and give the answer later today.  Feel free to keep guessing, or if you've already given an answer but want to change your mind, go ahead.  Hint #2 these are all taken in the same spot on the University Grounds.  It's a specific location that is well known.  Well known for those who've been there at least.  I'll give you more hints w/ later pictures.  The last picture I post, later today, will be the hint as well as the answer.

Saturday photo hunt - Gross

Ok, this is gross.  It makes me grossed out just posting it, but it is the theme for this week.   Just so you know, I didn't know it looked like this until after the photo was developed. LOL

What a charming picture of my now 3 year old's first Christmas! LOL

Where am I?

OK, here's my new contest.  I had mentioned before Christmas I'd have another one  and here it finally is!

How this will work is I'll add a picture or two a day until someone figures out where I am.  The pictures will get progressively more easy to determine where this location is.  At least, that's the plan.   The winner will get some yummy chocolates, either handmade or maybe I'll pop over to See's and pick up a box, since I saw how popular those were when Gena was giving them away.  (and for Shonda, your chocolate is going to be made soon and sent in time for V-day.   I promise!

These pictures were all taken, by me, at a major university here in the United States.  Where am I?

Be sure to leave your name, so I know who you are and a way to get a hold of you if you are registered as anonymous!  Have fun and start guessing.  Don't forget to leave your guess in the comments section.

Art contest

This entry won't make sense unless you've been on the FIAR board and saw my post.   I'm trying to figure out how to display these masterpieces for the kids art contest tomorrow.  We have a painting on water color paper, drawing on construction paper and one on regular printer paper, a miniature scene made from clay and other odds and ends, a paper pop up creation and another clay and shell creation.

How would you display these for the contest?

pencil on paper

miniature clay scene (a shoe box doesn't really show it off very well)

This is blurry but this is the shell and clay creation

the water color painting

pencil on construction paper (this one my dd has decided she doesn't want to enter instead she wants to enter the corral reef drawing)

Last but not least, my 5 year olds "pop-up" art.

Give me your best ideas!  Thanks.
