Green Smoothies

What do you think this tastes like?

YUM!!!

Green smoothie we had today:
Bunch of spinach from our local CSA
~1 cup plain non-fat yogurt
3 ripe banana's
small package of frozen mangos
~1 cup frozen peaches, sliced

This was one of the best smoothies we've had so far.  The spinach made it really green, but the taste was barely perceptible.  Instead, it tasted like a fresh summer ice cream treat.

Well, it looks a little green :) But the ingredients sound very yummy. :)

Wow! Your kids are great. I have some that I'm not sure would get past the green. I need to make more smoothies! It just isn't fresh anything season around here though.

I saw an old post of mine and you asked about which caves we visited in VA. It was called Grottoes. Not one of the bigger ones, but still really neat. It's in Weyer's Cave, VA.

Praying for you friend!

PS Love the new header photo!

As you already know, Green Smoothies are great way to get kids to eat vegetables! But many families still haven’t heard about them. To educate both parents and children at the same time I am in the process of writing a children's book on green smoothies.

I am collecting photos for my book. I came across your blog post on Green Smoothies and was wondering if I could have your permission to use some of your photos in my book. In exchange for the photos I’d be glad to send you a free copy and will of course give you credit for each photo. Thanks for your support. You can email me at ms.hogi@gmail.com to let me know your decision.

Thanks, Sally
